VISP Partner among the 15 best-placed entries
As one of the  15 best-placed quarters we were judged by one delegated member of the panel on July 28 at our place.  The final voting will be based on the results of this assessment. The finalists for the first, second and third price will be drawn from the 15 shortlisted entries.
The awards ceremony will be held  on October 24, at the International Commercial Property Exhibition EXPO REAL in Munich, Germany. One representative from each of the 15 best-placed entries will receive an invitation to attend this ceremony.

The judging process was conducted in two stages:
Originally a total of 75 urban quarters from 16 European countries across the continent have submitted entries for the 2006 DIFA-AWARD the "property prize of the cities" with prize money totalling 30,000 euros. The 37 German towns and cities competing for the accolade of "quarter with the highest quality of life" were joined by quarter projects from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republik, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and UK.
The jury compared and assessed these 75 entries and nominated 30 entries for the second stage of the competition. The 30 nominees had to submit more detailed application which again were assessed by the jury. The Jury then announced the 15 best-placed quarters.

The local VISP project-partners of TuTech Innovation GmbH the  Bezirksamt Hamburg-Harburg and  the association channel hamburg e.v. have submitted their entry "channel hamburg, Harburger Binnenhafen" for this competition. The team for the "paperwork" are Henning von Ladiges from the Bezirksamt Hamburg-Harburg and Tina Schmidt-Nausch from TuTech.
