EC Project Management Workshop for Framework 6

Announcement

Managing a Framework 6 or any European collaborative research project poses a number of challenges not necessarily encountered elsewhere. Projects are multicultural incorporating partners with diverse objectives and working cultures; they involve a high level of technical risk and expectation, but are also designed to serve a political agenda.

The workshop "Managing Framework 6 Projects" aims to equip key participants with a knowledge and understanding of the particular demands on the project management of EC projects. It is aimed at both project managers or prospective consortium managers and any other participant in the FP6 programme who need to have a grasp of the practical challenges involved.

The workshop will emphasis practical management techniques and not just formal administrative requirements. Much which is experienced in EC project management is also of high relevance to other forms of international R&D collaboration.
