Press conference about the future of the Vetex

On the 29th of September, the City of Kortrijk in collaboration with OCMW organised a press conference about the future building plans of the Vetex factory. After an introduction about the funding project VISP, the city architect presented the plans for the extension of the factory into a community centre. In order to preserve the historic character of the building, a transparant block will be builded next to the factory, as a extra skin, with meeting rooms, kitchen and bar, toilets, an office,...
After the press conference there was a neighbourhood meeting with the same presentations and opportunity for questions and remarks. The local band L'orchestre International du Vetex played some music to warm up and the City of Kortrijk offered a drink to every one.
