Offside : the new theatre play at Vetex

The local theater association 'Unie der Zorgelozen' has presented last weekend for the first time their new theater play Offside in the gate building of the former Vetex Factory. The association wants to fill in the need of social contact in the neighbourhood Venning-Veemarkt with artistic projects.

The theater play is for and with inhabitants of the neighbourhood and is about people who are left beside in society and their choice to fight back or to accept that they have lost in life.

Offside is one of the initiatives in the VIVA VETEX Festival, a festival that attracks the people in the neighbourhood to the gate building, which will get a new function as a community center thanks to the VISP project. Other activities during the Festival are art and photo exhibitions and the release of the first CD of the local band Orchestre International du Vetex.
