The Drammen Region on top of the national establishment list

The Drammen Region tops the list of new Norwegian business establishments.
Managing Director of the Drammen Board of Trade and Commerce Hans Petter Tonum is proud to announce that the Drammen Region is not only best on establishing new enterprises, but also in maintaining existing businesses.

Fresh statistics on business establishments in Norway show that during the second quarter of 2005 the number of new enterprises in the D ammen Region has increased by 39%, and the number of bankruptcies has decreased by 45%. There are now 25 390 companies running in the County of Buskerud. This is 700 more than last year. The Buskerud companies represent 5,6% of the total number of Norwegian companies.

Hans Petter Tonum says that the increase in number of enterprises in the Drammen Region is a result of the involvement of politicians, civil servants, trade and industry, and the city inhabitants as to implementing the agreed-upon vision for further development of the Drammen region.
