Ecological renovation by social economy

Ethimmo, a social economy project of Kanaal 127 that renovates houses in a ecological way, presented recently the first renovated house on the neigbourhood Venning -Veemarkt. The focus in the way of working is on Housing quality and sustainable use of energy. The renovated houses will be rented by a social housingcompany in Kortrijk.Ethimmo has developed a policiy plan for 2005-2007 for the purchase of 20 houses. There was a need for this kind of renovation approach, because a lot of people are not  reached with projects about energy saving. Poor people don’t have the means to invest in energy saving renovation material.
