Family SME's in Kortrijk have united in a non profit organisation in order to promote Kortrijk as an art and design city and to support the Kortrijk entrepreneurs.
From 13 October until 17 October 2005, you will be able to follow a walking tour called 'Atmosfeer'. Every SME-partner invited 2 special partners. One of them is an artist born in Kortrijk, the other one lives here or has a link with the city of Kortrijk. Every shop organizes at least one activity. There are lectures, several acts on stage and also restaurants take part in the event. Spread in town, you will find five big art installations.  E.g. one of them is made by an art school, the VTI. The students created a 'free estate'. In the musea you can see the linked exposition 'Link'. The official Opening of Atmosfeer is going on at the same moment as the official inauguration of a group of statues of the Austrian artist Stephan Balkenhol on the renewed square Veemarkt Kortrijk. A delegation of Mölndal will attend it during there study visit for the city administration to Kortrijk.
