"Build Bridges, not Walls"
Drammen municipality is arranging an International week in 2006. We hereby invite one youth from each VISP partner country to participate at the Youth Conference in Drammen during this week.
The arrangements will take place from the 23rd until the 28th of April.
The purpose of the International Week is to put emphasis on UN's millennium development goals. As a part of the International Week, several arrangements are prepared for children and youth. There will be UN-role-plays, art exhibition with children and youth as artists, cultural workshops, music and dance workshops, concerts and an International Youth Conference.
The Youth Conference is called Global understanding. Democracy and UN's Millennium Development Goals are the main subjects at the conference. The Youth Conference will take place at the 23rd until the 28th of April. The conference is for youth between 14 and 18 years old. The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UN-association of Norway are giving us support during the Youth Conference.
Students from Bosnia and Norway will attend the conference. The conference will hopefully be completed with one participant from each of the VISP-countries England, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Sweden.
The participants will be hosted in Norwegian families from Sunday the 23 - 29 of April.
The VISP-countries are requested to provide economical expenses for the journey.
