Port of Drammen has recently presented a draft for a new strategic plan (2006 - 2015). The plan is to relocate the rail terminal in Drammen from the city center to the port (Holmen) and establish a intermodal terminal for rail, sea and road. A new combined bridge for railway and road, a new deepwater quay, the establishment of 130.000 sqm new terminal area and direct road connection to the motorway (E 18) are key elements in the new strategic plan.
